Hospital Thrift Store Cashes In On Volunteer Spirit

Managed by volunteers who are considered part of the workforce, a hospital thrift shop in Illinois has raised more than $2 million over the last two years. But that's only part of the shop's value, which is seen as critical to hospital operations.

Thethrift store sounds like just a wonderful asset to the hospital and the community. Congratulations to all the people involved. I do wonder if there are any particular protocols in place to make sure no viruses or infections are transmitted through the items donated?
