MANSFIELD, OH: MedCentral CEO to retire in 2012
James E. Meyer, president/CEO of MedCentral Health System, will retire in May. Meyer has been in a leadership position at MedCentral Health System and its predecessor, Mansfield General Hospital, since 1978, when he was hired as executive vice president. IRVING, TX: VHA Inc. names Csapo CFO
VHA Inc. has hired Peter P. Csapo, CPA, to be its CFO effective Aug. 22. In his new role, Csapo will lead VHA's accounting, finance, treasury and internal audit and managed information services activities. Csapo succeeds Byron Jobe, who assumed the role of executive vice president of the VHA service and delivery organization in Dec. 2011, while continuing to serve as interim CFO. YORK, PA: Hanover hospital president resigns
After serving as Hanover Hospital's president and chief executive officer for the past three years, George M. Kyriacou has announced his resignation. Kyriacou will continue fulfilling his duties as the hospital's president and CEO through Nov. 8, said hospital spokeswoman Lisa Duffy. The announcement came after Kyriacou accepted a position with a specialty hospital in his home state of Connecticut. The relocation will allow him to be closer to his family and friends, said Duffy. WINDHAM, CT: Natchaug Hospital CEO takes reins at Windham Hospital
More than half a century ago, the CEO of Windham Hospital helped Natchaug Hospital get off the ground and get organized. Now 58 years later, Natchaug is returning the favor by sending their president/CEO, Stephen Larcen, back to Windham. Larcen has been named the CEO of Windham Hospital for a six-month interim assignment. He will still maintain his position at Natchaug, but has physically relocated to Windham. David Klein, vice president of community programs at Natchaug, will oversee all of the day-to-day operations at the Mansfield-based Natchaug Hospital. [Read More]

St. Luke?s Hospital & Health Network has named longtime area banking executive Jan Heller to its newly created position of executive vice president of finance. The Bethlehem-based hospital organization is going through a pivotal stage as it completes its acquisition of Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg and opens the Riverside campus this fall in Bethlehem Township, PA. MARTINSVILLE, VA: Hospital administrator resigns
Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County announced that Skip Philips has resigned his position as CEO to become executive vice president/COO of DeKalb Regional Health System in Decatur, GA. Philips will remain at MHMHC through September to help support the hospital and community through the transition to an interim CEO. Philips assumed the role of CEO at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County in October 2010. [Read More]

DAYTON, OH: Terry Burns hired as president of Greene Memorial Hospital
Terry Burns will take the reins as president of Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia. Kettering Health Network has announced the hiring of the former vice president of finance and operations at Kettering Medical Center. Burns returns to Kettering Health Network after serving as president/CEO of Ukiah Valley Medical Center in California for four years. Previously, he worked at Kettering Medical Center in his executive role for six years. [Read More]

Alex Contreras-Soto, president/CEO at Spring Hill Regional Hospital, has accepted the position of senior vice president and chief administrative officer of Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. He has been the CEO of Spring Hill Regional since February 2009. The hospital said COO Gino Santorio has also been recruited by Jackson Memorial to serve as the corporate director of project management to assist in the turnaround of the Jackson Memorial System. Patrick Maloney, CEO of Brooksville Regional Hospital, will be promoted as the Market CEO to oversee all of the operations in Hernando County, including Brooksville Regional Hospital, Spring Hill Regional Hospital, Good Shepherd Medical Centers and other service lines for Health Management Associates.
