KU Hospital will open a comprehensive spine center

Kansas City Star, October 31, 2008

A new clinic designed to offer patients a "one-stop shop" for treating back pain will open Nov. 3 at the University of Kansas Hospital. The Marc A. Asher M.D. Comprehensive Spine Center will bring to one location orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, neurologists, psychiatrists, pain management anesthesiologists and rehabilitation specialists. Lisa Hermes, medical director at the $5.5 million center, told the Kansas City Star that the comprehensive approach in a single clinic is the first of its kind in the area.
