San Francisco Trauma Recovery Center saved, for now

San Francisco Chronicle, January 21, 2010
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's administration had recommended the city's Trauma Recovery Center be shut down within months to save $347,529 and help keep this year's city budget balanced. But he has agreed to a reprieve for the center after a push from San Francisco supervisors and community advocates. The Trauma Recovery Center, which is connected to San Francisco General Hospital, serves more than 700 patients a year.
