Torrance, California – Providence Health Network within Providence Health & Services is seeking an outstanding physician leader to serve as Medical Director, MSO Operations for the Providence Medical Foundations in Southern California. This role will provide clinical guidance and support for the management services organization operations that PH&S, California provides on behalf of its affiliated California medical groups in utilization management, care management, quality management, risk management, credentialing and peer review.  The successful candidate will also provide collaborative oversight of professional medical services (including MSO-related committee functions) by affiliated medical group physicians, as directed by the Chief Medical Officer. To accomplish these goals, the Medical Director, MSO Operations will collaborate closely with the Administrative Director of Health Services and the Administrative Director of Quality Management and Credentialing, all of whom report to the Chief Medical Officer, Providence Medical Foundations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 (five) years successful experience in the California managed care market, a medical (MD or DO) degree from an accredited school of medicine, be board certified in a primary care specialty or emergency medicine, and hold a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of California. Providence Health Network is a limited Knox-Keene health plan created to accept global risk for population health management.
