Los Angeles Times, April 30, 2010

Volunteer doctors, dentists, and other medical professionals treated 1,103 patients at a massive free health clinic at Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena Wednesday and 1,157 patients the day before, according to a statement released by a clinic spokeswoman. More than 6,300 people received wristbands entitling them to treatment at the seven-day clinic sponsored by Tennessee-based nonprofit Remote Area Medical. Organizers have said no more wristbands will be distributed.
