Cardiologists' salary climbing overall, but financial pulse indicates slow-down ahead
Although pay is climbing for invasive and noninvasive cardiologists, the slowing pace of the increase may be a disheartening signal that pay for these providers has reached its apex.
"Cardiologists are still in demand for most areas, and as a result these physicians' salaries remain fairly consistent," says Rockland Mann, a recruitment consultant specializing in cardiology placements for Liquid Medical Recruiting, a subsidiary of Texas-based Delta Medical Consulting. "But there's no question that their compensation is starting to slow down."
