More dentists embrace spa concept as practice growth strategy
After 30 years in practice, one could imagine that Bruce Roland, DMD, might be in the position to consider downsizing. Instead, he plans to do the opposite.
The Somerset, NJ–based practitioner will soon shutter his 1,400-square-foot office in lieu of a new, larger one across town. It’s likely to be a dazzling experience for the patients: Roland and his fellow investors are sinking some $2 million into the new location.
However, not all the funds are being invested in pure dentistry. Indeed, oral care could almost be seen as an afterthought in the 8,000-square-foot office, which is shared with an orthodontist and a physician.
