Trustmark extends health coverage to adult children under 26 ahead of deadline

Chicago Tribune, May 13, 2010
Lake Forest, IL-based Trustmark Cos. is the latest health benefits firm to extend medical insurance early to people up to age 26 through their parents' health plans. Trustmark Cos. confirmed plans to allow graduating college students and certain other dependent children to stay on their parents' health plans starting June 1. The extension is ahead of a mandated provision, which goes into effect Sept. 23, under the federal health reform law that allows parents to keep children on their family insurance plan up to age 26.
