Mount Sinai shows interest in St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan

Representatives of Mount Sinai Medical Center have taken an interest in St. Vincent's Hospital Manhattan, a struggling facility that has been looking for a partner so it can stay afloat, officials said. Representatives of Mount Sinai, a major academic medical center, have been visiting St. Vincent's over the last two weeks. New York Health Department officials and politicians who have been trying to help keep St. Vincent's alive have said that the hospital cannot continue operating on its own, and needs a stronger partner to make it financially solvent.
